Road Trip Wrap-Up

The D.C. road trip has finished! The drive from Monroe, Louisiana to Largo, Maryland (where we were staying) was a whopping 19-hour long trek that took a lot out of us both. Once there, we found that the only sensible way around D.C. was the Metro System (a life saver).
The main reason for the trip was to see my daughter (Sienna) in her first dance recital/school art festival.

(She’s the one in the middle)
She was in three performances… One song with her class and two ballet performances. Sienna has always been attracted to both singing and dancing so she was smiling from ear to ear the entire night (and so was my wife and I).
We didn’t really have a ton of time to see the sights of D.C. all that much… But we did eat at Anthony Bourdain’s resturant: Les Halles (below).

We had some time to visit a couple of the Smithsonian family of museums.

(Smithsonian Castle)
And we even saw a couple of the Monuments from afar.

All in all we walked our butts off, ate tons of food, walked our butts off, lived some american history, walked our butts off and most importantly got to spend some time with our daughter and each other (awwww).
