The Wizard of Oz (70th Anniversary)

You know the story: an innocent Midwestern girl gets caught in a tornado, enters an awfully strange world populated by midgets, befriends a cowardice lion, a nimrod scarecrow, and a heartless man of tin, battles with a wicked witch, and exposes a pudgy man for the fraud he is. To commemorate 1939’s The Wizard of Oz’s 70th Anniversary, Warner Home Video is releasing one of the most anticipated Blu-rays so far…and a silly little 4-DVD set, both with many new* and non-disc** bonuses. The film, an adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s 1900 children’s book, currently sits at #10 on AFI’s Greatest Films list and #1 on its Top 10 Fantasies list, with “Over The Rainbow” chosen by the organization as the greatest song in film history.
